Treasurer Workshop Presentation
The Treasurer’s Workshop is available to provide important budgetary information for student organizations such as the budgeting process, financial operations, and important deadlines.
Attend the SGA Treasurer Workshop during the Student Organization Leadership Summit on Tuesday, January 21, 1:00 - 4:15pm.

Initial Budget Submission - Spring 2025
*This step is not mandatory but is highly recommended to prepare your student organization for the budget hearing. If a group submits an initial budget, they must also sign up for an FAC Meeting.
Deadline: Friday, February 28, 2025, 11:59pm

Financial Advisory Committee (FAC) Meeting
The Financial Advisory Committee (FAC) meetings allow you to review and make any necessary changes to your student organization budget with the assistance of your SGA senator and treasurer.
Dates: March 3 - 7, 2025

Final Budget Submission
A final bdget submission is required for groups interested in receiving a budget.
Deadline: Monday, March 10, 11:59pm

Budget Hearing
The budget hearing is a formal review and approval of a student organization’s budget by members of the senate, vice president and treasurer.
Dates: March 24 - 28, 2025

“I did a fundraiser and now I need to supply tax information. Where do I find that information?â€
Email SGA Finance (sgafinance AT_TOWSON) to request the Towson University W-9 document.
“Can I submit my budget over email?â€
No. Budgets are only valid when they are submitted within the provided submission link. Any budget emailed to the treasurer and/or senators will not be reviewed.
“Do I have to submit an initial budget or attend an FAC Meeting?â€
No. Both the initial budget and FAC Meeting are additional resources. During this time, groups are given the opportunity to make any necessary changes to their organization’s budget before the final budget submission deadline. This process is highly recommended as it will become a requirement beginning Fall 2025.
“Do I have to attend the Budget Hearing?â€
Yes, It is required to attend the budget hearing to receive an SGA Semester Budget. The SGA senate has the jurisdiction to approve or deny any budget they believe does not meet the SGA financial policy. Your required attendance will allow for effective communication between all members.
