Academic Support

  • Academic Calendar: Keep track of important dates and deadlines like Registration Add/Drop and Withdrawal dates.
  • : To make it as easy as possible to get the assistance you need, many academic support services are co-located in Cook Library's Academic Commons. Here you will find the Academic Advising Center, the Writing Center, the Tutoring & Learning Center, the OTS Technology Support Desk and the Accessibility & Disability Services Testing Center, alongside many public computers and dynamic study spaces.

  • Accessibility & Disability Services: ADS provides accommodations and services for TU students with documented disabilities including learning, physical/mobility, vision, hearing, chronic health and mental health.
  • : Access 24/7 study spaces and computers. Drop by the library help desk, use online chat, or meet with a librarian to get going in the right direction with your research. 

Financial & Basic Needs

  • Foodshare: Over 30 percent of college students lack reliable access to nutritious food. The Foodshare provides 10 free food and toiletry items per week to TU community members.
  • Career Center: Need help finding sustainable on- and off-campus employment? Not sure where to start? The Career Center is here to guide you.

  • Financial Aid: Did you know that each TU student is assigned a financial aid adviser? Reach out today to discuss what options might be available to you.

Physical & Mental Wellness

  • Health Center: Are you experiencing health concerns? The Health Center offers a full array of health services to TU students.
  • Counseling Center: The Counseling Center offers same day in-person or virtual appointments with 24/7 access to mental health professionals and a crisis line even on holidays and weekends.
  • Campus Recreation: Utilize our state-of-the-art facilities and programs that promote active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Togetherall: Would you prefer to speak with other students experiencing similar mental health struggles? Do so comfortably and easily under the guidance of a trained clinician through the Togetherall platform.
  • Temporary Accommodations: Have you experienced an injury or illness that requires the support of temporary accommodations? Contact Accessibility & Disability Services to see if you qualify.
  • Pregnancy: If you are expecting a child, you are eligible for specific accommodations and support. Contact the Office of Institutional Inclusion and Equity for information.

What do I do if I missed one class?
Work directly with your faculty to notify them of your absence as soon as possible. For most instances, SOS does not need to work with students around one time absences.

What do I do if I missed a weeks’ worth of class?
Submit supporting documentation and the dates of your absence using the . SOS will contact your faculty to notify them of your absence. It will be your responsibility to follow up with your faculty after that email goes out.

What do I do if I missed more than two weeks of class?
Contact SOS using the and ask to schedule a meeting to discuss your options.

Bereavement PROCEDURE

If you experienced the loss of a loved one, documentation and a range of missed dates can be submitted using the . SOS will contact your faculty to notify them of your absence.
