Patrice Sanders
Patrice Sanders has been a newsroom leader for more than three decades. For the past 21 years, she’s been a staple in the Baltimore community as an anchor for Fox45 Morning News. Prior to joining Fox45 in April of 2003, Patrice anchored and reported in Boston, California, and Pennsylvania. Her career in journalism started at ABC News Nightline with Ted Koppel in Washington, DC. Patrice is a skilled journalist, host, facilitator, interviewer, and content creator.
She has received numerous awards and community distinctions for her work, including several AP Awards and Towson University’s Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award.
In addition to her work on-air, Patrice has a large digital media following. You can find her on multiple media platforms including her YouTube/Podcast series, “Lunch With the Ladies.” The series centers around her passion for bringing women together for discussion and fellowship, creating connection through sharing, and empowering them to excel in their own lives, positively impacting those around them. She also co-hosted the podcast “TV News Moms Unfiltered,” sharing the joys and challenges of being a new mom.
With decades of media industry insight to draw from, Patrice has helped organizations and individuals locally and internationally with media training. She offers guidance on effectively conveying messages, adeptly handling interviews, creating communication strategies, and developing content to effectively engage with media.
She also spends time mentoring journalism students. For several years, she served as an adjunct teacher for Sheffield Broadcasting Institute, teaching news writing and delivery.
Patrice is active in the community, frequently speaking at schools and community events. She is passionate about her work with children, serving as President of ‘Monte Sanders Fit Families, Inc.’ The non-profit was founded in 2009 by Patrice and her husband and is aimed at eliminating childhood obesity.
Patrice grew up in Mitchellville, Maryland and graduated from Towson State University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. These days her most rewarding role is being mom to her daughter Naomi and wife to her husband Monte Sanders.
