Towson UTeach Need-Based Scholarships  for Current Students  

[ for the 2025-2026 academic year are due April 25th.]

Kahlert Foundation Endowed Scholarship for Towson UTeach

  • mathematics, computer and mathematical sciences, or science major with a concentration in secondary education
  • completed either SEMS 120 or SEMS 130
  • full-time enrollment status (at least 12 credit hours)
  • Maryland resident
  • preference given to child or grandchild of existing or former Evapco employee
  • demonstrated unmet financial need as defined by FAFSA
  • outstanding academic achievement
  • potential for teaching excellence
  • award amount: Multiple awards of at least $1,200 

Dr. Carol L. and Robert E. Daihl Endowed Scholarship

  • science major who intends to teach secondary school science
  • demonstrated unmet financial need as defined by FAFSA
  • a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • award semester: Final Internship Semester
  • award amount: Approximately $1,400

Dollenberg Family Endowed Scholarship

  • mathematics major with a concentration in secondary education
  • full-time enrollment status (at least 12 credit hours)
  • a graduate of a Baltimore City or Baltimore County high school
  • demonstrated unmet financial need as defined by FAFSA
  • good academic standing
  • award amount can vary: Approximately $1,200 to $2,000

Dr. George E. Hohl '55 and Anne S. Hohl Endowed Scholarship

  • mathematics, computer and mathematical sciences, or science major with a concentration in secondary education
  • completed either SEMS 120 or SEMS 130
  • full-time student status (at least 12 credit hours)
  • demonstrated unmet financial need as defined by FAFSA
  • outstanding academic achievement
  • potential for teaching excellence
  • award amount: Approximately $1,200 

R. Elizabeth Remsberg ’27 Endowed Scholarship

  • mathematics, computer and mathematical sciences, or science major with a concentration in secondary education
  • completed either SEMS 120 or SEMS 130
  • full-time enrollment status (at least 12 credit hours)
  • demonstrated unmet financial need as defined by FAFSA
  • outstanding academic achievement
  • potential for teaching excellence
  • award amount: Approximately $1,300

Availabile to current students pursuing dual teaching certification and majoring in Computer and Mathematical Sciences Secondary Education.  Please click on the links below for additional information.

  • For current students – $7,500 total maximum award; up to $2,500 in each of three years. are reviewed on a rolling basis.
