Scholarship Descriptions & Criteria

UNDERGRADAUTE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:

The Marthe Quinotte Scholarship Endowment provides financial support to worthy undergraduate junior and seniors majoring in Psychology. Towson University owes its own Counseling Center, in part, to the vision of Marthe Quinotte, who led in its development to serve students, faculty, and staff at the Health Centers at Ward & West.

The Dr. Edward and Shirley Neulander Fund was established in 2000 to honor Ed Neulander's memory. Ed was a faculty member in the Psychology Department from 1950 through 1983. This scholarship is provided to undergraduate psychology majors with a minimum of 3.5 GPA. The student must be in good standing to receive this award.

GRADAUTE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:

The Anderson/Parente Scholarship Endowment was established in 1994 by two faculty members in the Psychology Department. This scholarship is provided to a worthy graduate student in either the Psychology MA or HRD program. First priority will be given to graduate students with disabilities. The student must be in good standing to receive this award.

The Anita LeAnn Foster Graduate Psychology Endowment was established in memory of LeAnn Foster, '05 who earned her MA in Psychology from our department. This scholarship provides support to deserving graduate students who seek to work in the field of mental  health. The student must be in good standing to receive this award.

The Serge Harrison Scholarhip in Psychology was established in 2021 to support currentely enrolled TU graduate students and psychology graduate program applicants pursuing mental health careers.

Additional Scholarships

(NASP) offers a scholarship to students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the field of psychology. Each year, NASP awards at least one minority student with a $5,000 scholarship.
