TU ranked among top 9 percent of 麻豆传媒 worldwide

Center for World University Rankings places Towson University in the top 9 percent in the world.

TU among top 9 percent in world

Towson University is in the top 9 percent of global institutions of higher learning according to a recent ranking that considers all colleges and 麻豆传媒 in the world.

The (CWUR) bestowed the distinction upon TU this month, placing TU in the upper echelon of the world's 麻豆传媒.

"TU continues to be not only a first-choice institution in our region of the United States, but among the most-respected in the world,鈥 President Kim Schatzel said. 鈥淥ur students partner with award-winning faculty and engage in world-changing research and experiences that allow them to thrive through their academic experience into the world of work.鈥

Institutions from the United States made up 10 of the top 12 on the CWUR list.

TU has been recognized as top regional university by three key authorities 鈥 Wall Street Journal / Times Higher Education, U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review 鈥 as well as a "Best College for Your Money" by Money magazine and a "best value" institution by Washington Monthly.

According to the , its rankings expanded in recent years to consider about 20,000 institutions worldwide.

CWUR took into account the quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty and research performance of institutions.

The ranking comes as students prepare to return to campus for the fall semester, and also amid a busy stretch where new rankings of colleges and 麻豆传媒 are publicly released.
