Catherine (Katie) Menking

Biography
Katie began working with the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) in 2015. As a technical advisor, Catherine (Katie) Menking has numerous roles, including data collection and analysis, methodology design, and report writing and editing. Katie has substantial experience with statistical analysis of data obtained from state and federal sources, and is also skilled in the examination of primary data from sources including proprietary data, field testing, surveys, and interviews. Katie has worked with a variety of clients, including state agencies, nonprofits, and private clients.
During her time with RESI, Katie has contributed to a variety of projects, such as an economic impact analysis of Class I Railroads and an economic and community impact analysis of Towson University as part of its 150th anniversary celebration. Prior to her current role, Katie served as a research manager and economist for RESI.
Education
Katie completed her masters of professional studies degree in applied economics at the University of Maryland, College Park. She received her B.S. in economics from Towson University and also holds an A.S. from Pennsylvania College of Health Science.
Personal
Katie enjoys spending time with her adventurous daughter and husband, cooking and baking, and exploring nature.
