Biography
John joined the Center for GIS (CGIS) in 2019. He leads application development projects for CGIS focused on web-based GIS and data-driven applications. Ongoing projects include development for the Maryland Department of Health’s Environmental Public Health Tracking portal, application support and development of environmental and safety features for the Maryland Transit Administration’s TIGERS (Transit Integrated Environmental Reporting System) application, development and support for the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s Cover Crop Program, and application support and development for the Department of Commerce’s Maryland Defense Network.
Education
John holds an M.S. in computer science with a focus on software engineering from Towson University and a B.A. in English from McDaniel College.
Personal
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his two children, cycling, furniture making, and playing guitar.
